The Scriptures
We believe the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is a perfect treasure of heavenly instruction that has God for its author, salvation for its end, truth without any mixture of error, and reveals the principles by which God will judge all men.
The True God
We believe the Scriptures teach that there is one and only one, living and true God.  He is an infinite, intelligent Spirit whose name is Jehovah, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth.  He is inexpressibly glorious in holiness and worthy of all possible honor confidence and love.  There are three persons in perfect unity of the Godhead, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.  These three are equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious office in the great work of redemption.
The Fall of Man
We believe the Scriptures teach that Man was created in holiness under the law of his Maker, but by voluntary transgression fell from that holy and happy state.  In consequence, all mankind are now sinners, not by constraint, but by choice; therefore being by nature utterly void of the holiness required by the law of God and therefore under just condemnation to eternal ruin without defense or excuse.
The Way of Salvation
We believe the Scriptures teach that the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace through the mediatorial office of the Son of God, who by the appointment of the Father, freely took upon him our nature (yet without sin) and honored the divine law by his personal obedience, and by his death made a full atonement for our sins.  After having been risen from the dead, he is now enthroned in heaven; and uniteing in his wonderful person the tenderest sympathies with divine perfections, he is in every way qualifed to be a suitable, a compassionate, and  an all-sufficient Savior.

From the Pastor's Desk
When you look at the landscape of the world today, you come to the understanding that the devil is in charge, but God is in control.  The devil is in charge of the world, but God is in control of everything -even the devil.  You say, "Well, Pastor, I thought in charge and in control were the same."  Well someone may be in charge of managing a department, but he isn't in control of making major decisions.  So, when we see what is taking place throughout the world, much of what is happening is because the devil is in charge.

The devil is very noisy in the world.  As you read the papers, listen to ther radio, and watch and listen to the television, you must agree that the devil is making a lot of noise.  He gras most of the headlines.  He is in charge of most of the talk shows.  It seems that he is the programmer and producer of most of the television programs.  He has created a lot of noise in the homes ---so much noise that family members are not communicating.  Husbands and wives are not talking.  Children and parents are not talking.  Brothers and sisters are not speaking to each other.  There is a desire to talk, but the devil is keeping up too much noise.

He is making a lot of noise in some church circles.  Members are taking members to court, deacons are fighting the pastor, the pastor is fighting deacons, and there is mistrust on all sides.  The devil is making noises by convincing church leaders that homosexuality is normal and they have a right to lead in the church.  He has made so much noise and caused so much confusion that the church does not know what she believes about wormen preachers, capital punishment, abortion, materialism, divorce and remarriage, or many other moral and ethical issues.  Peter warns the church in I Peter 5:8-9 to: "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour; Whom resist steadfast in the faith knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world."  Remember, Satan is not dead nor is he asleep.  He is still making noise.

God is never noisy.  He does things quitely and peacefully.  For example, whe He woke you this morning, He simply touched you with His finger of love.  When night ended and morning came, it was a quite, it was a quite transformation that God made.  You see, God is in control of the entire world, and He does not need to make noise to be heard or seen.  God does not waste His time or our tiem for us to know that He is in control.  He establishes His control and authority in the very first book of the Bible, in the first chapter, in the first verse and in the first phrase by simply saying, "In the beginning" in Genesis 1:1.  Well, what happened in the beginning, "God created heaven and earth."  God, in the very beginning, took control of all His creation.

So, while the devil is noisy, trying to remain in charge, God quietly goes about keeping things under control.  He is the Creator and Sustainer of the whole world.  John 1:3 says, "All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made."  God reminds us in Psalm 46:10, to "Be still, and know that I am God..."  We must learn to be quiet and listen to the soft voice of God, instead of listening to all the noise that the devil is making.
